Kevin Kolb is Set to Take Over at Quarterback For the Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the more successful teams in the National Football Conference over the last ten years. They are tied for third in number of wins in the decade, have made a Super Bowl appearance, and went to four straight NFC Championship Games. Quarterback Donovan McNabb played a large role in all those successes, but he is gone now and the team is being turned over to Kevin Kolb.

Kolb played college football at the University of Houston and was drafted intoufabet มือถือ the NFL by Philadelphia in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He and the Eagles both hope he is more successful than two other University of Houston products, Andre Ware and David Klingler. So far, it looks like he will be. He sat on the bench during his first season as the third string quarterback behind McNabb and A.J. Feeley. In 2008, he saw little time at the position as well. Due to an injury to McNabb, Kolb found his way into the starting quarterback job in 2009 and immediately showed he had talent by becoming the first NFL quarterback ever to throw for more than 300 yards in each of his first two starts.

The 2009 offseason saw the Eagles trade Donovan McNabb away to the Washington Redskins and hand the team over to the strong armed Kevin Kolb. He is joined by other talented offensive players like Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, and DeSean Jackson and are one of the more formidable younger teams in the league. How successful Kolb is remains to be seen, but the Eagles should be an exciting team to watch from here on out.
